About Us
SIY came about after we (Andrea and Becs) decided to give up their careers as TV directors.
We were both planning our weddings at the time and were surprised to see that there weren't many videographer's making fun, personal and unique videos! Having directed many a BBC3 youff programme with teenage 'home video' we knew the intimacy that could be achieved by giving people professional handicams....weddings were a no brainer! With 2 example videos and an interest free credit card we took out a stall at the National Wedding Show in February 2010 and the rest is history.
SIY became an overnight success and with over 250 weddings under our belt we knew that we needed a bit of help if we were going to take SIY to the next level.
We walked into the BBC's Dragons' Den on the 4th June 2011 and walked out with Hilary's investment, possibly one of the most exciting moments of our lives! Hilary is helping us launch into the travel and corporate/events market and helping us with our marketing, legal, accountancy and new camera equipment which means that we can focus on what we do best - making awesome videos!
