Having served our time in telly as the TV Director’s behind such family favourites as Wife Swap, Faking It, Big Brother and Kerry Katona (for our sins!) we decided to commit TV career suicide by jumping head first into making wedding videos after realising that there was nothing out there for people like us!

We stumbled across the idea for SIY completely by accident, after filming our friend Angela’s wedding back in May 2009. To our surprise we found that with some very simple direction and professional Sony handicams not only did the guests get the shots we needed, the footage was engaging, funny and totally original. Everyone who watched the finished wedding DVD wanted one just like it and so….Shoot It Yourself was born!

We’re young, creative and confident in what we do because we know it works – we’ve spent the past 10 years doing it. We also think that its about time the wedding videography industry had a little bit of a shake up and we’re looking forward, with your handy filming work, to doing just that!
