"How can this possibly work?!" We hear you say! Well you only have to watch our videos on our examples page or ask ANYONE who has had a Shoot It Yourself wedding video to see that it DOES work. Check out our Facebook Page to see some of our happy client's comments if you don't believe us! Not only does it work, but it is honestly MUCH easier than a professional wedding videographer would have you believe. This is how it works:
The concept is simple
STEP 1: Pick a few (4 or 5) awesome, outgoing friends who you trust to be responsible for the cameras and filming on the day. We'll send them the password for all of our online video tutorials so they can get up speed on how to use the cameras and top tips on what to film.
STEP 2: The day before the wedding, we'll courier the cameras and tapes to your house so that your Shoot It Yourself-ers can get up to speed on how they work before the big day.
STEP 3: On your wedding day if each of your friends have a go at filming 'their own bit,' for example the bridesmaids film the morning with the bride, the ushers with the groom, uncle Steve during the ceremony - you get the picture! If everyone takes it in turns rather than a burden, it actually becomes a bit of a talking point and can be really great fun!
After the wedding, we'll collect the cameras and the tapes and get to work on making you a totally professional wedding video that will blow all professional wedding videographers out of the water!
Our amazing video cameras
We have invested in 10 brand new Sony Ultra Compact Professional Broadcast Quality Camcorders which only went on sale in July 2010! They record onto memory chips instead of tapes, are great at filming in low light AND work AMAZINGLY on automatic meaning that ANYONE can use them! They also have a big directional top microphones which most consumer cameras don't, meaning that you don't miss a thing!
It might not be beautifully framed and perfectly still, but thats what your photographer is there for AND with our expertise in the edit department, it'll be the wedding DVD that EVERYONE will want to watch....not just your mum!
